So I got this idea: Why not buy a Statuette like from the Music Awards, or The Oscar Awards (Movie award you know?) With a Guitar on it, and print out his the following words on a Goldprint: "To the best Guitarist in the World: Michael Denner, happy Birthday, from your fans worldwide!!!) not exactly these words, but something like that! And make folder with letters from fans, and give it to Him on His birthday??? Therefore, If you like to be a part of this Present, please write a letter to Michael... And send it to me before November 1st -2001!!! And i take some pictures of Michael when He open the present and I'll upload it on my website! This is Free, You shall NOT Pay a single doller!!! January 2002 will see the release of the long-awaited new KING DIAMOND album "Abigail Part II: The Revenge". The recordings are as good as finished, so far we only have the cover artwork. But that one rocks supreme and will satisfy all lovers of the first "Abigail" album!

from Matt Tompson letter: I saw King last week, he said he wants the album to be the very best it can be, and that he refuses to rush it to make deadlines. I completely agree. He did mention that there is a good chance of playing in Moscow and Kiev in addition to St. Petersburg, which excites me to no end, I sincerely hope that this happens.

The October release date for Abigail II: The Revenge is definately NOT going to hold. A new release date has not been set yet, and we're holding the tour booking for the same reason.

from Danish magazine: The next King Diamond album will be "Abigail II -The Revenge". The album will be very Brutal nad contains Spiritual Incest and Cannibalism and is "Mildly Speaking" a really discusting story. It seems that Jonathan is'nt dead as we thought, but has broken his one leg when he fell down the stairs and is now sitting in a wheelchair, he can no longer stand the daylight, so the house has a lot of black curtins, and the only light comes from a few black candles. Abigail was not killed by the Black Horsemen. She is raised in a secret place and when she turns 18 takes a walk in the forrest where she is caught in a storm, so she's looking for a place to take shelter. It leeds her to the house where Jonathan is and then the story begin...... The album will contain a family-tree with all the persons in the story, and also with persons who are not mentioned in the story, but they meen something anyway.

The recordings of "Abigail II: The Revenge" should be finished around the beginning of August. There are some ideas for the sleeve but we are still working on it. Travis Smith will work on the sleeve (Nevermore, Iced Earth ...) Here are three confirmed song titles: "THE STORM", "MANSION IN SORROW" and "SPIRITS". More soon to follow.

• As reported by Blabbermouth, according to FOO FIGHTERS mainman Dave Grohl, the mixing for his PROBOT metal side project has started in California, with the drummer-turned-frontman having just completed work on the track ‘Centuries Of Sin’, featuring VENOM singer Cronos on lead vocals. Described by Grohl as "seriously evil shit", the as-yet-untitled Probot CD has no release date at the moment, but it is currently "a constant source of joy" in the ex-NIRVANA man's life. PROBOT's debut album will include appearances from a host of metal's most revered frontmen, including Max Cavalera (SOULFLY/ex-SEPULTURA), Lemmy (MOTORHEAD), Tom Araya (SLAYER), Phil Anselmo (PANTERA), King Diamond (MERCYFUL FATE/KING DIAMOND - on the track ‘Sweet Dreams’), Wino (SPIRIT CARAVAN/ex-THE OBSESSED), Snake (VOIVOD - ‘Dictatorsaurus’ ), Lee Dorrian (CATHEDRAL - ‘Ice Cold Man’), Eric Wagner (TROUBLE), and Mike Dean (COC - ‘Access Babylon’).

• Swedish traditional metalists Evergrey are back with a revamped line-up and a new album, their third, called In Search Of Truth, a concept album based on alien abduction. The album, produced once more by Andy Larocque at Los Angered studio, will surface in August on InsideOut America. Bandleader Thomas Englund.

• Arch Enemy’s world wide live debut of the new "Wages Of Sin" line up will take place at this years Wacken Festival in Germany. Arch Enemy will be playing on the 'Wet Stage' (don't ask us why it's called that!) on the 4th August. Arch Enemy are on stage 1845 – 1930 on the 4th of August (Saturday).. • EIDOLON have parted ways with vocalist Brian Soulard due to “creative differences”. Drummer Shawn Drover explains the situation: "We felt the time was now to move on and find another singer — we have nothing negative or bad to say about Brian; he is a good singer — but we need somebody who has different styles in his voice, more [multi-]dimensional, more power — a Ralf Scheepers/Ripper Owens kind of dude, to give you an example. We really believe that the right singer can take EIDOLON to the next level, and we won’t rest until we find him! We are searching in Europe, Canada and America - if anybody is serious in contacting us, they may do so at this address: EIDOLON, 2915 Noah Drive, Acworth, GA 30101 USA. Anybody interested in our search, please send demos, pictures, and full bio - serious inquirees only, please. • Sweden’s ARCH ENEMY will be playing at the Metal Fest 2001 in Seoul, Korea on August 23rd alongside such acts as SLAYER, SEPULTURA, MACHINE HEAD, V.O.D. and several Korean groups. This will be ARCH ENEMY’s first-ever visit to Korea and it will immediately precede the band’s fourth Japanese tour, which will take place at the end of August (29-31). As previously reported here, ARCH ENEMY have yet to announce a European or American release date for their acclaimed Wages Of Sin effort—a delay that is reportedly due to the efforts of the group’s representatives, Sanctuary Management, to get the band out of their present deal with Century Media Records or substantially renegotiate the existing agreement with the label. However, the group’s American and European fans are reassured that, when the CD does eventually surface in those territories, it will include as-yet-undisclosed bonus material not found on the Japanese release.

• From Matt Thompson letter: "...Now I'm playing with my other bands (Maylee Thomas, Djugdish) the new Djugdish cd will be out hopefully next week, I recorded the drum tracks right before the tour, and it sounds heavy. Also I teach drum lessons."

We are at the moment recording drums and rhythm guitars. We have started Sunday with that. Before that we have been working on sounds for a couple of days, sounds on drums, guitars and bass.

• Today the guitarist of the band EIDOLON is 32 years old. He played in King Diamond staff on the album "House Of God". Glen Drover will receive all the congratualtions here: glendrover@home.com. I would like to note, that realease of the new album of Drovers brothers' band "Hallowed Apparition" already happened in Europe - om April 30, and American release will be on June 5 in this year. With this album and early songs EIDOLON will go to Odissey to the German metal-fest BANG YOUR HEAD on June 30.
